This year promises to be another great year with trips planned to Morehead City to dive WWII wrecks as well as to the St Lawrence River in Brockville, Ontario, for some more spectacular wreck diving. See these trips' individual pages below for more information.

NE SAILER & CADET @ Sea Eagle
Jun 14 @ 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
NE SAILER & CADET @ Sea Eagle
The Northeast Sailer Wreck is a favorite in this area and a great way to start off the diving season. At 75 feet, it is low lying and good for fish and lobsters. Off the port bow are a couple of anchors and some frames worth exploring. Astute divers will notice she carries a cargo of steam engines.

The Cadet, identified as the John H. Winstead which sank in 1927, is at 75 feet. Good for fish and lobsters – and the occasional artifact – it is big, wide, and about 240 feet long. The vessel was carrying coal when she sank.

SEA GIRT & 120 WRECK @ Sea Eagle
Jun 22 @ 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
SEA GIRT & 120 WRECK @ Sea Eagle
At 85 feet the Sea Girt Wreck is massive. Divers estimate she is 300 feet long – at least! An unidentified wreck, she is good for sea life, u/w photography and artifact-hunting. She carried coal as she is strewn with the stuff from bow to stern. She sports a huge anchor in her bow.

A mile away from the Sea Girt is the 120 Wreck at almost 80 feet. Unidentified, the wreck has yielded little in the way of anything that would identify her. But little doesn’t mean nothing. Divers have found timber in and near her hull. She likely carried cargo of timber destine for a lumber mill.

The Big Hankins is a large, wooden wreck with a few out-lying pieces to explore at 80 feet. Good for sea life – especially lobsters. Bring your line reels!

At 75 feet deep, the Veronica M (sunk by Herb Segars to honor his wife, “Ronnie”), this wreck is largely intact and fun to explore. Good for sea life, videography and photography.

MOHAWK @ Sea Eagle
Jul 6 @ 7:00 am – 12:45 pm
MOHAWK @ Sea Eagle
Sunk after a collision with the Talisman in 1935, the Mohawk is a great wreck to explore. An ocean liner nearly 400 feet long and in 75 feet of water, you’ll rarely see the entire wreck in a single dive. She is known as an artifact hunters wreck. China, shipboard items, and cargo have been recovered over the decades. Visibility varies, so line reels are a must-have. Keep one in your pocket or collection bag. Bring a dive light, too.

The Riggy Wreck, identified as the Barge Helen, sank in 1922 in just 75 feet of water. A wooden wreck, she is great for sea life and all-around exploration.

The Delaware is a diggers wreck. Divers have been bringing up artifacts on almost every dive. Burned to the waterline in 1899, the wreck is in 75 feet of water.

PINTA & NEW DEAL @ Sea Eagle
The Pinta, a steel freighter carrying a cargo of peaky cypress, sank after a collision with the City of Perth in 1963. She lies in 85 feet of water. She used to be intact, but is now largely broken up. This is the wreck that really started the wreck diving craze in New Jersey. Well worth exploring, but bring a line reel and a light or two.

The New Deal is a wooden wreck lying near the Pinta. She carried a cargo of stone and is largely broken up, but still fairly together. She make a great wreck to explore and is loaded with sea life. Good for lobsters. Bring a catch bag – and fast hands.

The wreck of the Stolt is very impressive, even though now greatly broken-up. Visibility is usually good at this wreck at 130 feet. There is a large debris field around the wreck. The propeller lies half-buried in the sand, while the broken-off rudder lies nearby.

COFFEE WRECK & LANA CAROL @ Sea Eagle
Sep 13 @ 7:00 am – 8:00 am
COFFEE WRECK & LANA CAROL @ Sea Eagle
The wreck was a late eighteenth-century sailing ship that now lies at 75 feet. Visibility tends to be relatively good, and it is very easy to follow around the edges of the wreck or explore over the top without getting lost. Great for fish and lobsters.

This little wreck is almost completely intact and upright at 90 feet. The entire wreck is covered with sea life. Mussels on the top of the pilothouse, along with thick stands of anemones. Lobsters can be caught around the hull. This is also sometimes a good wreck for scallops, and even the occasional Blackfish.
