Pinta & New Deal
The Pinta was a coastal freighter sunk in 1963. She was once intact on her side, but now fishing activity and time, itself, have taken their toll. Still, this site makes for great exploration, artifact recovery and seafood gathering. The dive is to 85 feet. The pinta is the wreck that really opened up sport diving in New Jersey.
The New Deal, also in 85 feet, is a wreck nearby that is also broken down and great for general exploration and seafood. Though unidentified, it got its name when boat captains would take you there is someone else was already on the Pinta!
